Were you ever planning a trip to #Morocco but never had time to read deeper into things you shouldn’t do or perhaps be careful with?
1. #Respect the culture!!! Even though Morocco is very modern and European-like, citizens are very traditional. If you are a girl, try avoiding uncovering body parts in public places (wear long trousers/dresses or t-shirts). Dressing up a bit more in hot temperature won’t hurt you!
2. Don’t let all of the smiles mislead you while walking around the markets! Some sellers will want to drag you in the black allies and sell things illegaly.
3. You want to go for a drive through the Atlas #mountains and stop to take a #photo? Literally in the middle of nowhere people will suddenly drive up to you (by people I mean at least 4-5 locals) trying to sell some things - jewlerry, pictures, post cards etc.
4. If you’re visiting a national park it’s most likely you’ll see some wild animals. Try avoiding feeding them because locals really care about the nature. Sometimes people put food in your hand what attracts animals instantly, and then you'll have to pay.

5. Try being more assertive. People in the market squares will try to rip you off…once I got grabbed by hand and a girl started tattoing me before I could stay „stop”. The henna tatto was very nice and lasted for ages, im not kidding…like a month or so, but in the end I had to pay so much!
6. Check when is the Ramadan Holiday, if you decide to visit Morocco during their Saint holiday it’s likely you won’t eat or at least won’t be able to discover their cousine 100%
7. Renting a car and trying to drive according to the rules? Just remember to stay calm behind the wheel, driving with donkeys, horses and tuk tuks on the road might be scary but in the end I feel no #rules are more safe than too many rules :)
8. Trying to overspeed on a highway because you want to be somewhere early? I wouldn’t reccomend that…the police have modern technological devices. After tresspasing a highway gate they may stop you because 15 km earlier something messaured that you were overspeeding 10km/h more than should :)
Guys, just a reminder! Those are only helpful #tips and things to bear in mind. Morocco is a beautiful country totally worth visiting. I would recommend it to everyone. And just like every place there are things you should’t do, things you should respect and hopefully now I’ve outlined a few of those things. :)
